Egret at Work–October 30, 2013
The day began with a spectacular, vibrant sunrise, then the rain moved in. No complaints. I paid a visit to the marina–my first since the boat races of last weekend. The water was high, covering the bulkhead, and there were no birds, which is a rarity.
A lone snowy egret (above) worked the shoreline by the boat launch, and a trio of ruddy turnstones raced about, while a large flock of seagulls hunkered down in the parking lot.
A quiet day., but a good day.
