Anytime you want to stir up a little action on the lake, invite the gulls over for a snack.
Even though not a single gull is visible, just the act of pumping your arm as though throwing bread skyward will attract attention. Get one 
gull’s attention, and in a heartbeat you will have an entire flock.
They are quite adept at catching the bread pieces midair, and somehow manage to have few collisions as they swoop in and fight for the bounty.
The weather and temperatures continue to be ideal.
What’s not to love about this time of the year?
