A Year on Clear Lake-Mar 9, 2013

Wave Warning – March 9, 2013

Today fell victim to March’s windy assault, making it yet another slow day for photos. Even our little friend above seemed startled by the pounding wave action and its ensuing spray.

The big event at the park was the breadcrumb drop. The seagulls swarmed a generous pile of bread scraps and scrambled to make off with as much treasure as they could grab–but not before total mayhem broke out.

There was little action down by the marina as well, as all the birds were laying low. Rain is predicted for tomorrow and a return of cooler weather. We’re looking forward to it, especially since we are still experiencing  light drought conditions.
