Spring Blooms-March 17, 2013

Does anyone know what this tree is? Its pretty white blossoms caught my eye–as did its sharp thorns, but fortunately just before the thorns caught my fingers.

The Vernal Equinox is just a few days away – March 20 at 7:02 EDT. That is the first official full day of spring, but no one told the flora here about it. All the plants are greening up and bursting out in blooms, just like this little tree. The wildflowers are popping up all over. So now I see a whole new area of nature that I have to study – flora. I’m looking at all these amazing blooms and don’t have a clue as to what they are. I do know what these pretty little multicolored purple and yellow flowers are–lantana. It’s a native Texas plant. Stay tuned, we’ll figure the rest of this out together.
