Black-crowned Night Heron–July 25, 2013

Running short on time today, so I made a quick run to the boat ramp and marina to check out the action. Summer is in full swing, and people now out number the birds by the ramp. But I found a light crew working at the marina–tonight it’s two black crowned night herons, a green heron and a yellow-crowned night heron.

The water level is low and the temperatures are high. Hoping for relief soon.
