A pelican lands atop a tiny structure on one of the lake’s markers, then performs a complicated balancing act as it tries to maintain itself, and its position. I can identify with my pelican friend here. Granted, I may be standing on a flat surface, but I am anything but grounded. Often committing to more than is humanly possible, I find myself struggling to maintain balance among my projects – and in my life.
It would be wise to learn this simple lesson from our feathered friend – be more realistic in our expectations, and don’t make it so impossible in the first place.
