A Splash of Color for the New Year- Jan 01, 2013
The new year begins as gray and nondescript as the old one ended with another day of overcast skies and drizzly rain. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps the day’s subdued tone foreshadows a quieter, calmer, more sane year ahead.
Blue saliva, red crown of thorns, purple lantana, and sage intertwine, weaving together a colorful welcome to the new year.
I’m not sure what caused the year 2012 to be such a troubling year. We can blame the Mayan prophecy, and hope that with the threat of ultimate doom now lifted, we can get back to the business of living sanely.
