Birds are amazing creatures. Look at this beautiful, white ibis with the long curved beak. It doesn’t use its eyes to forage for food, but probes the muddy/sandy bottom with its beak, feeling for and then capturing its prey. The beak is the perfect tool for the job.
The fine-tuned game of balance nature plays is also amazing. The ibises eat crabs and crayfish, which typically dine on large quantities of fish eggs. By eating the crayfish, the ibies help keep the crayfish in check, which in turns aids the fish population, which then feeds the bird population.
Wow. What a perfect orchestration. I will never take even the littlest creature for granted again.
